The primary focus of this building is to provide safe haven during inclement weather. The building will open with in the hour of a tornado watch being issued by the National Weather Service.  Here  are a few things to remember if your severe weatherplan includes a trip to the Shelter.
1. No pets allowed.
2.No Smoking in the building.
3. Be courteous to other visitors.
4. Some chairs are provided but you may want to bring your own.

The Louisville Shelter is also home to many community events. These include Health fairs, Job fairs, Community markets as well as many various school functions. 

The Louisville Shelter is also available for rent for private functions as well. Its been home to many weddings, parties, banquets fundraisers etc. If you are interested contact City Hall at 662-773-9201 for more information.
