Purpose Statement
The Mayor's Youth Council of Winston County is a leadership and civic engagement program that brings together students from across Winston County to learn, serve, and lead. The Council provides a voice for youth while creating opportunities for students to develop leadership skills, participate in community service, engage with local government, and provide valuable insight on issues affecting youth and the community. Working alongside local leaders and adult mentors, members are encouraged to make a positive impact while preparing for future leadership roles. Mission Statement The mission of the Mayor's Youth Council of Winston County is to develop informed, engaged, and service-minded young leaders through leadership development, community service, civic engagement, and meaningful collaboration with local government and community leaders. Vision Statement To cultivate a generation of engaged, compassionate, and capable leaders who are committed to strengthening Winston County through service, civic involvement, and community leadership. |
